Around dusk last night, we were sitting in the screen house. We leave it a bit unzipped to create a doggie door for Monster so he can hang out with us or do a bit of off- leash exploring. He was just chilling with us until he heard a SQUEAK!!! coming from the back of the house and took off toward it. Lo and behold, Barney had caught his second baby bunny in as many days.
And Monster stole it! Barney likes to cherish his catches, tormenting them slowly until they aren't fun to play with anymore. Monster, like an impulsive child, played it to death rather quickly and then got bored, like when he manages to pull the squeaker out of a stuffed toy. No squeak= no fun. I don't think Barney was too upset. I just wanted to make sure he gets full credit in writing. Is Monster sorry? No. He says he learned it from the nature show where the hyenas steal from the lions.
