Field Trip

The Forest

My mister has been cutting lovely little trails through our woods here. So peaceful, so pretty. AND he found columbine growing wild in there! There's also false Solomon's Seal and a native sedum (who knew?!). The bad news is that there are a lot of non-native invasives like buckthorn, wild rose and garlic mustard. So we're actually weeding the forest and hope to replace that stuff with more natives. I already planted a stand of mayapples but it's too soon to tell if they took.
