The mister found the above photo here. We were intrigued. What a stunning plant! Fungus??? Hmmm... Google search. Nothing. Well, remember how I said I can post photos and questions on my swap group's site? I did with this, hoping for an ID. Then I looked at the picture again. Then the title of the picture: "Spadic Torches" (mixed media) in the moss garden. Mixed media... mixed media... thinking... and SHIT! It's not REAL! It's art. Damned good art, says me, since it looks so real in that landscape. I had to do a follow up "my bad" post on the swap site. I am so embarrassed now. They probably all think I'm a total n00b. Gah. I'll have to save it and post it again next April Fool's Day on the swap site.
