Did you ever have a chance to say that to someone in context? We did. Every year we put a few goldfish into our rain barrels to keep the mosquito larvae in check. This year, our neighbor called us begging us to take their fish. They bought a couple of koi last year for their pond. This year when the pond thawed, hundreds of fish! Seems their koi got busy over the winter.
Last night we went up there with our trusty net and bucket and got like five for each barrel. (I tried to take a picture of them but failed due to reflection issues.) When we left, the mister said it: "So long, and thanks for all the fish!" Oh. We also threw a few into the cichlid's tank. That should keep Runty busy for a while.
