And the crickets started singing on the 1st. I listened to them all day today and just gave myself a day off. A lull. Fall will be busy- plants need moving, sod needs cutting. I did make these this afternoon though. They look weird. They taste like awesome. Wait'll the mister gets home and smells them. He's gonna want dessert before dinner. Lentil soup or chocolate chip cookies. We're all grown-ups here.

Haven't heard them much around here which is fine by me- I don't like the sound they make.
