I'ma Tell You Something Important

We got married on my mom's birthday.  She passed in 2004.  This was my way of having her "there".  I think she woulda loved my mister and I so wish she could have met him.  And this is Andrea, a piper who all but landed in my lap right after we chose a date for the ceremony.  She started things off by playing "Amazing Grace" in honor of my mother.  I was still in the house for that part, otherwise I would have fallen apart in front of everyone.  I love me some pipes and this was extra special.  After that, lest things get too solemn, she launched into "Scotland the Brave" for my mister's walk up the aisle and she played us back down the aisle at the end with a rousing medley.  She is an amazing young woman and if you're local and would like to hire her, I will give you her contact info.  Other than the vows themselves, this was our favorite part of the ceremony.

Your wedding must have been amazing. The piper surely made it special.

I didn't know it was your Mothers Birthday!!...you never said a word! But that would explain that spot light of sun that shone on you both as you took your vows!

My eyes were leaking the whole time she was playing.
