I sat two seats away from William Kennedy at the New York State Writers' Institute. The best part is that I didn't realize it until I was told cuz Kennedy seems arrogant and annoying to me and the last freakin' thing he needs is more recognition. For those of you who don't know who he is, GOOD- even less recognition!
