Recipe - Iced Coffee

Here's how I do it. It's really the only way, when you think about it.

To a mason jar add:
5-6 ice cubes
2 tbsp sugar
Fill halfway with hot coffee. Must be hot, to slightly melt the ice and produce rounded corners that will beat and froth the milk later.

Admire cracking sounds in the ice, then add:
1/2 tsp pure vanilla
1 small scoop chocolate ice cream
milk to 1 and 1/2 inches below rim
Admire the whites and browns as they blend, and note the beautiful way in which the different viscosities of the three liquids seem to sink and rise, as if driven by some unseen caffeinated force.
Put the lid on and shake hard for a long time. Sing the whole "shake your booty" song, that should be enough shaking. I prefer the rotational twisty shake, as if spinning a dual-bladed light saber. You may enjoy the also satisfying clink of the overhand in and out, as if with a stabbing action (like stabbing a tall guy in the eye).
If you're doing it right, the milk will foam, and the foam will gradually diminish the percussive force if the ice cubes in the jar. When the beverage starts feeling soft and cottony, you're almost there.
Remove lid, enjoy.
