These little blue flowers are only open in the morning, hence the name. Some people consider them an invasive weed but I like them. They're easy to pull if they get out of control and I have no idea where they came from- birds, more likely than not. A gift!

I am inclined to think that anything that we really don't want in our garden that returns invasively on its own is a weed--it's all in the perception, so you have a lovely little blue flower that survived Irene.
