Last Weekend

... we went to the NYS Museum. I had just read a book about the first Dutch settlers in New York and wondered if maybe having that for context would make the museum more interesting. Alas and alack n shit, no. It's just as crappy as ever. Same ol' dusty fake mastadon and so on. The coolest thing we saw was an exhibit by a children's books author (I forget her name now). She makes scenes out of unlikely objects like this:

There was a guest book for that exhibit. You could practically hear the Proper Moms encouraging this Literacy Activity: "You see, Minffky, the Author of the books will Read your comments about her Work and really appreciate your Feedback." Here's what Minffky had to say:
